How To Get Out Of A Reading Slump

Book Slumps or Reading Slumps are as natural of a commodity as the common cold in the book community. You can catch the disease, anytime and anywhere. But there’s no need to fear! For there are…probably thousands of posts on how to battle them, including this one now. However, since I battled a 9-month long book slump which I got over earlier this year then recently was in another book slump for a 2 week period (that’s basically two in one year so far gah), I think we can qualify me as experienced enough on knowing how to get out of them. Both short and long book slumps are equally…

NEW BLOG MEME – WTF Wednesday | WTF Is A Real Reader?

HEY GUYS LOOK AT ME I’M MAKING A NEW BLOG MEME *frantic waving* – So since I’ve started my blog, I’ve found these weekly blog posts called blog memes from checking out other blogs and such. They’re terribly fun and when I thought of a new idea for one, I decided I HAD to do it. My new blog meme is….*drumroll even though you can see it in the title of this blog post*   WTF WEDNESDAY!   yeaaaaa boi. So, what is WTF Wednesday about? Well, it’s a blog meme I will be posting probably more fortnightly than weekly, but maybe monthly. You can do it whenever you want,…

The Virginia Shreves Duology Book Review

Hey Hey! Today is a DOUBLE REVIEW! Or should I say Duology review? For the Virginia Shreves Series/Duology. I don’t really know what to call it since the first book was actually released like 15 years ago and the sequel is only just coming out but there are two books. One sequel. Duology, it is today. This duology is written by Carolyn Mackler and comprises of the first novel: The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things (Yes, IKR, how amazing is this title – just you wait to read the sequel’s title-) and the second novel: The Universe is Expanding and So Am I (absolutely fabulous title). Since…

    September TBR

It is finally time, to once again organise a TBR for the coming month. I am indubitably excited and I’ve actually tried to cut down on the ambition a little because it was getting a little over the top. Since I read 15 books in August, I thought it was fair to cap my TBR at 15 (not including my current read). The first few books are books I, unfortunately, didn’t get to reading in August but I do want to read in September, if I’ve already talked about them in my August TBR, I won’t be describing much about them. Here is my TBR for September:      …

    August Wrap-Up

Hello fellow bookworms, so it’s been a little while! I, unfortunately, got hit by the worst bookish disease anyone can face – the dreaded book slump. I wholeheartedly blame it on my absolute binge over the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy because after that bookish event and my consecutive multiples watching sessions of the movie adaptation, I just wasn’t motivated to read… I read through the blurbs of heaps of books and couldn’t be bothered, so I ended up rereading a favourite and getting into an old school paranormal trash novel to get me out of it. I am currently book slump free…for now. Funnily enough, thanks…
