It has come to my attention that due to annoying circumstances like moving house and assignment deadlines etc, that my extremely ambitious TBRs are becoming a problem for my reading habits. It’s just never working out as I’ve planned and it’s always a little disappointing. SO, I’ve decided to try something new and do a tbr for this season! A SPRING TBR. It is basically a TBR for the next two months since summer officially starts on the 1st of December in Australia so it’s plenty of time for me to read as much as I can while I’m on my semester break. I also thought it would be a good idea because I’ve become a little moodier with my reading lately so having that flexibility to just pick up another book if I’m not feeling it for my current read sounds delightful.
To keep things open, my Spring TBR is basically a list of books that are pretty high on my to-read list and that I really want to get through this season. Due to the lack of wifi and internet at my new home, I won’t be including the pictures below T_T I know, it’s killing me. How did I live without wifi 8 years ago, I don’t know…well I just read all the time haha
You will also notice that most of these books consist of rereading books I have read before but either don’t remember if I had really read them or I did read them but cannot remember most or all of what each book actually contains. Which is always kind of nice cause it’s like reading them again for the first time!
Here we go!
Nevernight & Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff
I am currently rereading Nevernight and loving it, so naturally, Godsgrave is next on my list to read. I will FINALLY read it so that I am now ready for Dark Dawn (which is sadly coming out next year – I will cry).
Throne of Glass Re-read and Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
I am currently rereading Queen of Shadows and it’s, unfortunately, going dreadfully SLOW! It is my plan to finish it and again like I planned last month, read Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn in time for the last book; Kingdom of Ash coming out this month or next month sometime.
Shadowhunter Chronicles Re-reading Challenge
This is definitely a reading challenge for me. I don’t remember anything that happens past City of Glass so my goal is to reread the second half of The Mortal Instruments series, Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess and FINALLY start Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows in time for Queen of Air and Darkness at the end of this year. I have borrowed the graphic novel for Clockwork Angel since I only just reread it recently and loved it again. I want to get back into the Shadowhunter world and love it as I did years ago so fingers crossed that I do and that I don’t want to murder Clary as much again.
Finishing The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
I am slow okay. I’m getting there. 2 more spectacular books to go and I’ll have reached a hopefully amazing and satisfying yet bittersweet end to this gorgeous series. Love you, Maggie, I swear I do.
The Edge of Everything Duology by Jeff Giles
These two books have been on my TBR for the last few months and I just never get around to them so I really want to this spring. I’m excited, the new covers are so pretty and I’ve heard great reviews.
The Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
Another one I’ve been meaning to read, I think it scares me a little because it seems so big and heavy and full of ‘realness’ but I will get to it. I will! (Don’t kill me Joel, ily).

And that is my Spring TBR. I really hope I can get through all those books in between everything I want to read. I haven’t named the other books I want to read but you can check them out on my Goodreads Spring TBR shelf. I prefer to only name the ones above because those are the ones I really really need and want to get through this spring. All other books are not as high of a priority.
Are you reading any of these books this month or this season? Do you enjoy rereads for upcoming releases?
Until next time,
xx Tracy
