Tome Topple Readathon TBR

Tome Topple Readathon TBR

IM DOING A READATHON!!! I’ve wanted to participate in the Tome Topple Readathon for a while now and finally, the time has come. I’m so excited!

If you don’t know what the Tome Topple Readathon is about, it’s basically a readathon created by the booktuber Thoughts on Tomes that was created to encourage people to read BIG BOOKS. We can all get very intimidated by massive books and I love that this readathon promotes tomes. The main challenge for this readathon is to read books that are over 500 pages, so all the books on my tbr are over 500 pages!

This is the 7th round of this readathon and it officially starts on the 16th of November at Midnight wherever you are, in your timezone and goes for a lovely 2 weeks (so much time compared to other readathons), until midnight on November 29th wherever you are.

There are also additional challenges but because I want to do a Shadowhunter Chronicles binge (which fits perfectly since they’re mostly very big books), I’ll basically only complete 1-2 of the challenges below (see underlined).

Challenges:

1. Read more than 1 tome

2. Read a graphic novel (still over 500 pages!)

3. Read a tome that is part of a series

4. Buddy read a tome

5. Read an adult novel

I’m so excited about this! So here is what I hope to read basically in the next two weeks from Friday (16th in Australia). My goal up to Friday is to finish everything that I’m currently reading (Nevermoor and Navigating the Stars), and also read City of Fallen Angels and the graphic novel of Clockwork Angel I got from the library before the readathon begins. I’ll basically be reading the shadowhunter chronicles in chronological order 😀

1. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

Page count: 519

I have loved every novel by Morgan Matson so far so I don’t doubt that I’ll love this one as well! I’m slowly building my collection so that eventually I’ll own all her beautiful books in hardback. I don’t know what this one is about just yet but that’s what makes contemporaries exciting for me.

2. City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare

Page count: 534

This read is part of my massive Shadowhunter Chronicles binge and I’ll hopefully get to this one if I can read City of Fallen Angels in time! Fingers crossed 😀

3. Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

Page count: 502

I loved Clockwork Angel and this series is my favourite in this whole universe so far (although I’ve yet to read TDA) so I can’t wait to get back into this world.

4. City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

Page count: 725

Part of series binge!

5. Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Page count: 567

Again, part of the series binge.

And that’s my tbr! I hope that I can do it. I’m sure that if I put my mind to it and don’t procrastinate study with other methods that I can smash this readathon. Are you participating? What are you reading?

Look out for my halfway point readathon update in one week!

As always, thank you for reading <3

xx Tracy
