April/Magical Readathon Wrap-Up & June/July TBR
WOW am I late to do a wrap for April but in case you missed it, I went on a bit of a hiatus in May because of physical, mental health and just life (mostly uni) being an absolute b!tch, and at halfway through June, I’m back! My uni semester is donezo and I’ve never been more relieved. I also took a hiatus from anything book related online including Instagram and Twitter – I basically disappeared for a while and kinda loved it. I am officially back to blogging and on socials but I doubt I’ll be as active as I used to be, you can find me here – in this little wee corner of my blog world.
So…life definitely got so busy around this time that I didn’t even post this wrap-up. I’m honestly just glad to be READING AGAIN. I read absolutely NOTHING in May and while it was a nice break from pressure, I did miss it a lot.
In case you didn’t know, my April TBR was basically the Magical Readathon challenge which I did enjoy but because of life, ended up changing my TBR a hundred times and finally didn’t complete the full challenge of reading (?) this many books. I am personally still really proud of how I went considering my circumstances and I read the absolute monster that is Priory in ~2 weeks – you could kill someone with this book cause how thick it is. Anyway, here’s everything else I read too:

What I Watched in April/May
Another small new segment in my wrap-ups because why not discuss what we’ve watched too! I haven’t been watching a whole lot of TV or movies (I kind of rarely do these days) but I’m slowly trying to get back into watching some shows – I always seem to stop certain tv shows and never continue, a big dilemma. Anyway, these are the movies/tv shows I watched and plan to watch next month:
Watched: Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pokemon Detective Pikachu, iZombie – Season 4, Supernatural Season 1
Watching: iZombie Season 5, Supernatural Season 2
Avengers: Endgame
★★★★☆
iZombie Season 4
★★★★☆
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu
★★★☆☆
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6
★★★★★
What I’ll Definitely Watch in June/July:
Black Mirror Season 5
My June TBR
Funny story, when you stop reading for a while, it doesn’t mean that you stop getting book mail – and because a few publishers were super nice, I ended up getting so MUCH book mail of ARCs and review copies (most of which I didn’t request) and I’ve got a backlog of things to read now (especially since some went to my old address and I got them like 6 months later!)
To avoid freaking myself out since we are already halfway through June, I have a chosen a few titles I want to get to asap first in the next month.
The Bride Test by Helen Hoang (Hello Asian Reading Challenge :D)
While You Were Reading by Ali Berg & Michelle Kalus
Call it What You Want by Brigid Kemmerer
Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
Did I miss any drama? A month and a half felt like forever, let me know what I might’ve missed in the comments!
Until next time,
