What I Watched in June

I feel like I didn’t watch a whole lot because I got distracted with Youtube but I did end up finishing the first season of The Order.

THE ORDER Season 1 ★★★★★

This show gave me all the vibes from Ninth House – I mean secret magic societies – sign me up! I really enjoyed this show, it was super intriguing and gave me the feels similar to The Vampire Diaries that I haven’t had in a long time. Some real nostalgia there. The season had some great writing, character development and although it started out a little slow, the pacing improved by episode 4 and I was simply hooked. Unfortunately, the ending of this season didn’t go well with me but nevertheless I’ll be continuing since Season 2 just came out last week.

My July TBR

A short TBR as always for this month, I have already started a couple of reads that I also hope to finish first before getting into this July TBR list.

Cursed by Thomas Wheeler

Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sunderland

City of Brass by S.A Chakraborty

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare

I’m super excited for these, particularly Cursed (thank you Penguin Australia), because the Netflix adaptation comes out on July 17th so I’ll definitely be watching it and giving a little comparison. Our Chemical Hearts is also another read that is getting a movie adaptation in August, hence why I’m giving it a go (finally).

I have already started the audiobook for City of Brass so that’s also super exciting but I’m hoping that I can somehow borrow the physical copy from my library since I do prefer reading physical books. These Violent Delights is also one of my anticipated reads for the year and comes out in November so I really hope that I love it! And last but not least, another Shadowhunter chronicles book as I slowly make my way through all the books in this series this year.

What are you hoping to read in July? Any 5-star-reads you really loved in June you’d like to share?

Until next time,
