One of the reasons why I want to get through my TBR so badly is that I don’t tend to reread much. It makes me feel like I’m missing out on the unread books I’ve yet to touch and I end up not re-reading books, pretty much ever.
This year, since my TBR is still a staggering 70 books, I probably won’t be rereading much but it doesn’t mean I don’t think about doing so often. So today, I’m gonna chat a bit about the books I really want to reread!
Strange The Dreamer & Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
This book is what I call my absolute favourite book of all time, and I’ve only read it once! Of course, I want to relive the journey because I loved every bit of it. I think it’s so easy to crave all your favourites in general as well.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
While everyone seems to be going crazy of SJM’s newest release (ACOSAF), I don’t have any interest in reading it BUT I do want to reread the Throne of Glass series or even just ACOMAF because I love her writing so much!
The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
Unless you’ve been living under a healthy rock in the online book community, you would’ve heard about the awesome TV show adaptation for this series and it’s really made me want to reread the books again. They were some of the first books I read in late 2016 on my kindle, when I first got back into reading after finishing high school and I remember devouring these eBooks like crazy. I couldn’t stop reading and read the 3 novels in maybe a week. I want to find that passion again so this is a series I’m seriously hoping to reread as I reduce my TBR.
The Host by Stephenie Meyer
I don’t talk about this book often but I read it a LONG time ago and it is still my favourite Stephenie Meyer book. Back when I was still in high school, I’ve read it multiple times and I absolutely loved this book. The movie adaptation was…okay, but in my opinion, there are many books that just don’t succeed in their concepts and execution (*cough* the mortal instruments is an example). They did an alright job but it will never top the beauty that is this book. While it might be thick and intimidating, this sci-fi romance is SO good ~ and that’s just that. This is a book that I’m genuinely going to reread this year I think – but that’s what I’m telling myself for every book on this list tbh. Help.
What do you think of my list of books I’m hoping to reread? Many of them are favourites, naturally, and it makes me wonder if rereading one of them is more likely to push me in the recovery stage of my reading slump. I guess we’ll see!
Until next time,

This is such an amazing list of books – good luck with your reading goals!
Also, I am completely freaking out because I had no idea that you were such a big fan of The Host??? The Host is honestly in my top favorite books ever [don’t ask me what order because I actually couldn’t tell you] and NOBODY ever talks about it. I feel like The Host gets a bad rep because of all the Twilight hate but it’s actually so DEEP. I re-read it back in 2019 and fell in love all over again – I hope you have the same experience! πππ

Thank you! I hope you achieve all your reading goals too! And YES, I LOVE the Host so much. Not many people talk about it but itβs one of my all time favourites so I really want to reread it cause I donβt doubt that Iβll love it again π
Julie Anna's Books
I’m trying to keep my TBR short for the same reasons – I feel like I never get to reread! I hope you enjoy them! I’m rereading Six of Crows for the adaptation, and also because I need to actually read Crooked Kingdom still π
Tracy
Exactly! Iβm actually in the same boat too ~ I reread Six of Crows recently with a friend for the second time but I need to finally get to Crooked Kingdom for the first time still π Happy reading <3

I love re-reading books. It’s such a comfort and feels like you’re checking in with an old friend. I adored Strange the Dreamer and would definitely re-read that book in the future. I’ve actually never read the Grisha trilogy, but have re-read Six of Crows countless of times. I might have to re-read them again to get me hyped for the TV show haha.
Tracy
I know! I want to do it more often in the future so that I’m like reading a mix of reread and new books. Strange is stunning and you should definitely give the grisha trilogy a go! Happy reading π
