I can’t believe we’re already 2 months into 2021! February was another slightly slow month for me but I’m getting back up on my feet when it comes to reading and I couldn’t be more excited for what March has in store for me. March is going to be super busy too!
Let’s get into what I read ~
What I Read In February
I did it! Although I only read 3 books again this month, I reached my goal of finishing the All Souls trilogy – which are thick books! So I’m really proud of myself for that, especially since I’m still in a bit of a slump. I really enjoyed them as well and I’m super motivated to keep reading new things in March.
Total Books: 3
Total Pages: 1733
Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
★★★☆☆ (3/5) | SERIES REVIEWBook of Life by Deborah Harkness
★★★★☆ (4/5) | SERIES REVIEWSpinning Silver by Naomi Novak
★★★★☆ (4/5) | MINI-REVIEW TO COME
I read most of this book on audio and really enjoyed listening to it while I drove to work and back. I read the last 50 pages or so with my physical copy and I’ll definitely be sharing more of my thoughts with you all soon 🙂
Blogging Highlights
Although the beginning of Feb was super quiet and I was still in a creative slump, I think I did a pretty good comeback by the end of it and I wrote some posts I’m really proud of (especially the following 2):
The 5 Stages of a Reading Slump
Sustainable Reading Tips (that aren’t just ‘read more e-books’)
What I Watched In February
Although I planned to watch Always & Forever (the last book to movie adaptation for the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series), I never got around to it! Instead, whenever I wasn’t trying to read – I started watching The Crown on Netflix again. I had watched the first season years ago but had totally forgotten everything so I’ve started from the beginning so I can continue the other seasons. Let me know if you’ve watched this before and who is your favourite character!
March TBR
Now that I feel I’m getting back into the hang of reading, I have so many plans – which are most importantly, getting to reading so many books I’ve been wanting to pick up but couldn’t because I wanted to commit to reading one book at a time (and the All Souls Trilogy was taking forever). These are some new releases I really want to get to:
The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon
I pre-ordered this and got it early in the mail and I NEED to read this!A Court of Silver & Flames by Sarah J Maas
This is my current read, actually, and I never thought I’d pick it up in a million years but after some convincing by readers on Instagram, I’m reading it and I’ll be bringing you guys a ‘spoiler-opinional’ reading blog for it too 🙂New Animal by Ella Baxter
This is a book I received unsolicited by Allen & Unwin (thank you!). To be honest…I absolutely hate this cover but I’m willing to give it a go and see how it is. It is a pretty short book as well so I might do a 24hr readathon for myself and see if I can finish it!The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
I don’t know what it is about this book but I’ve seen so many people on Instagram giving it 5 stars and I don’t know much about it! I picked it up at my local bookstore this week (my first physical book buy of 2021!) and I’m super intrigued. It’s supposed to be quite thought-provoking and I LOVE books that have me contemplating philosophical concepts, life and just thinking about them a lot after finishing them so I hope this lives up to the hype! It’s also another short book I’m really looking forward to.Starsight by Brandon Sanderson
I read Skyward, the first book in this series, last year and freaking loved it. It’s now one of my all time favourite books and it’s crazy that I still haven’t read the sequel yet! I can’t wait to finally get into this book and see my favourite characters again.
This TBR is a little ambitious especially because I have a LOT of things going on in my personal life, most importantly; I’m moving house again soon! BUT, I’m determined to keep reading 🙂
What have you got planned for March? Any books I might know?

I didn’t think I was going to read ACOSF either but Instagram convinced me too 😅 I hope you enjoy it!

I just finished it last night and I’m kind of annoyed that I enjoyed it – SJM DID IT AGAIN xD Instagram convinces us to read so many books haha

I asked for The Midnight Library for Christmas and then decided to wait for the German edition to come out so that my mum can read it, too! (She is currently reading it and enjoying it a lot, so I have high hopes for it)
I haven’t read a single SJM book but I love seeing all the love and hype for them on my timelines 😂

That’s awesome! I hope to be able to read German books in the future since I’m learning it 🙂
