Get A Life, Chloe Brown Book Review

I am so glad that I know about this author now and that I finally got my hands on this book thanks to my local library. It also felt fitting that I was able to read and review this book especially in the light of the recent and current events with the black lives matter movement. If you don’t tend to read very diversely and perhaps don’t know many black or bipoc authors, I’d sincerely urge you to widen your reading a little bit and look through the hundreds of black authored book recommendations on BookTube, the blogging community, Bookstagram and Book Twitter. You’d be surprised to find such amazing…

My Library Reservations | BIPOC, Asian & LGBTQ+ Picks

A couple of weeks ago, my local state government decided that from June 1st, that libraries could open again (Hurray!) to let people pick up reserved books. Since I had moved house, I quickly signed up online to my new local library and made a bunch of reservations for books I’ve been wanting to get my hands on for ages. Generally, these were books I’d been recommended from BookTube, close friends, Goodreads or just sequels to books I’d previously read. Truth be told, I wasn’t intending to specifically reserve library books with certain authors and representations ~ I was just reserving books I was genuinely interested in because I don’t…

May Wrap-Up & June TBR | Bullet Journal Snippet

May seriously flew by so quickly. I feel really proud of myself for this month because I was really enjoying reading and it was fun! I haven’t felt this sincere joy for reading for pleasure in a while and I think it’s a good sign that my productivity and inspiration is back. I even did an instagram photoshoot for the first time in ages! Go me 🙂 Quick Disclaimer/Announcement Unfortunately, at the moment, these are still grim times for the world. My heart goes out to everyone in the POC community, particularly the Indigenous Australians and black people of the world who have had to deal with so much injustice…

When Rain Turns to Snow Book Review

I find it so interesting when you read a book and have really mixed feelings. It doesn’t happen very often for me but in this case it did, and it’s quite complicated ~ in a good way. Huge thanks to Hachette Australia for sending me this eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This book comes out on June 30th and I sincerely hope that you guys do give it a read to make up your own opinion about this one. She did it again! SHE DID IT AGAIN. Okay, yes, I loved it. Let’s do this happy review >>> Goodreads Blurb Half-Fae, half-human Bryce Quinlan loves her life. By day, she works for an antiquities dealer, selling barely legal magical artifacts, and by night, she parties with her friends, savouring every pleasure Lunathion—otherwise known as Crescent City— has to offer. But it all comes crumbling down when a ruthless murder shakes the very foundations of the city—and Bryce’s world. Two years later, her job has become a dead end, and she now seeks only blissful oblivion in the city’s most notorious nightclubs. But when the murderer attacks again, Bryce finds…

My May Bookish Bullet Journal Snippets + Uni Student Spreads

Hello. Yes, I’m posting again ~ I figured, since I recently finished my May bullet journal spreads; “after popular demand” aka, Instagram support (ily <3), I’d share them on my blog for everyone to take a peek! I would usually do a wrap-up for April and a TBR for May, but…I can’t be bothered. I’m sharing what I want to share! What’s different about my bullet journal this month is that I’m trying out a brand new weekly spread I made myself, that will hopefully make me more productive especially since I’m starting my postgrad study (AH) on the 11th of May. I’m actually really looking forward to studying because…

Taking a Break | I’m Leaving The Blog (Maybe Forever)

I have been procrastinating writing this post for like a week now. It has been a week since I told myself, it is time to stop blogging (why that is further down this post) and finally, here I am – going back on what I’m saying (actually quitting) to; simply put, tell you guys that I’m taking an Indefinite Break. indefinite/ɪnˈdɛfɪnət/ adj.– lasting for an unknown or unstated length of time. a dictionary somewhere from the internet The truth is, despite having such a successful January when it came to blogging – I faced the realisation that I wasn’t enjoying it and I haven’t been enjoying blogging for a while,…

I’m happy to say I can call this author a friend and I’ve been hyping and promoting her latest novel so much because I genuinely love it so much! Please read this awesome interview I was honoured to ‘conduct’: 1. Hi Katya, congratulations again on the release of your second novel! How was your recent Oasis tour? Any great moments you still think about? Thank you, Tracy! And thanks for having me back for another interview on your blog.  I’m still recovering from my travels, but despite being completely exhausted and overwhelmed, I’m so happy that I got to launch Oasis in the US.
