Well, it was a pleasure to say Goodbye to 2020 a couple of days ago but I have to say, my reading in 2020 was amazing. I read more books in a year than I ever have (since I was probably like 11 cause I started reading as a hobby again at age 18) and I read a lot of books I really enjoyed. Picking my favourites was really hard; if you’re ever curious of what other books I loved though, you can check out my shelves on Goodreads 🙂 Without further ado, let’s talk about my best books of 2020! Top 3 Favourite Books of 2020: Skyward by Brandon…
BookTube Babble: An Interview With Oliviareadsalatte
This series is one of the absolute favourite things I love about my blog and today, I’ve had the absolute HONOUR and JOY to interview the one and only Oliviareadsalatte! I have been binging her videos in the last 6 months as Melbourne was in a lockdown and I love her content. Her recommendations are great, her dog and cat are so adorable and she has made me want to buy so many more thriller books once my TBR is down to a sizeable amount. Without further ado, here is the interview and I hope you love her responses as much as I do 🙂 1. Hi Olivia! Thank you…
Author Interview: Our Chemical Hearts’ Krystal Sutherland [Excerpt]
So I recently read Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland and loved it, reviewed it then watched the movie adaptation which left me wanting more. I was also lucky enough to get to interview Krystal Sutherland about the book and the process of adapting it for the screen through The Nerd Daily, so I thought I would share a short excerpt here for you to read if you’re interested. You can read the full author interview linked down below! Today, we bring you an exciting author interview with Krystal Sutherland! She captured our hearts in her debut novel Our Chemical Hearts, and it was exciting to hear that it was…

Author Interview: A Chat with Maria V Snyder
Author Interview: A Chat with Maria V Snyder Today, I am bringing you guys an exclusive interview with none other than Maria V Snyder! You might recognise her name from her famous series Poison Study. Around this time last year, I read her novel Navigating the Stars, the first novel in her Sentinels of the Galaxy series (you can find my review for it here!), and today this Q&A is to celebrate her sequel in the same series; Chasing the Shadows. I’m currently reading it and loving it, so I hope you enjoy her interview answers as much as I did: Author Interview: A Chat with Maria V Snyder 1. Hi! How…
Spring Wrap-Up | My Holiday in Korea & Finishing Uni
Truffles is back! It has been an action-packed couple of months this spring in Australia. I finally finished my last semester of university and went on an amazing holiday to Seoul, South Korea. My trip was amazing. I loved it. It ended up being a huge workout because we went shopping and sightseeing, struggling with practising our choppy Korean with locals, walking so much that my feet were bruised by halfway through (tad painful but worth it). I’m not sure whether I’ll upload photos from my trip on my blog but you can find some that I did post up during the trip on my personal Instagram (@trufflelives). More will…
BookTube Babble: An Interview with Samantha of Thoughts on Tomes
BookTube Babble: An Interview with Samantha of Thoughts on Tomes You should all know I love me a good interview with a bookish person and today, I have the pleasure of giving you an interview with one of my favourite BookTubers who has been on my laundry folding playlist for the last few weeks — Samantha from Thoughts on Tomes! Sam is known for her delightful reviews, thought-provoking and fun discussions, and personally, for me, her super soothing voice and narration in her BookTube videos. I was pretty stoked when she agreed to be interviewed by little old me, and I hope you guys enjoy her answers to my questions…
Golden Mid-Year Book Awards | It’s AWARD SEASON: My Mid-Year Favourites
Golden Mid-Year Book Awards | It’s AWARD SEASON: My Mid-Year Favourites I am seeing EVERYONE do the Mid-Year Book Freak Tag and while that’s fun, I thought I would host my own Book Award Show for my Mid-Year Favourites with some cute Golden Book Awards. I kind of prefer this because I don’t like to dwell on books I didn’t enjoy, I cannot keep track of my anticipated releases for the year and honestly, this is just a great and simpler way to congratulate myself, authors, and books everywhere! Using a similar format to my 2018 Wrap-Up, here are the Award categories and their winners for my mid-year favourite books…
BOOK TAG: My Birthday Book Tag
Book Tag: The Birthday Book Tag Yes. Today is my birthday and what better way to celebrate it on my blog than with a book tag! Today I am turning 21. Such a huge milestone apparently although I don’t feel anything for it other than the fact that I’m getting older (with more responsibilities *sigh*). I’ve almost been avoiding this day also just because I’m lazy, I tried to pawn off the job of organising my birthday celebrations to like 5 people cause I couldn’t be bothered. So many people I know have had massive 21st birthday parties with function bookings at venues and $2000 bar tabs but I’d rather just…
BOOK TAG: My Good Reading Habits
What better way to get back into blogging than by doing a Book Tag. The lovely Meeghan tagged me a while ago to do the My Good Reading Habits tag and I personally love this idea. Let’s go! Rules: Pingback to this post or the creator! List some of your good reading habits, the things you think you do well. Nominate some of your blogging friends So, What Are My Good Reading Habits? 1. I Don’t Put Pressure on Myself to Read ARCs ASAP. If only I could read ARCs before their release dates and have my review up in a timely manner all the time – it’s…
