They Wish They Were Us By Jessica Goodman Book Review

The second I read that this book was set to be like Gossip Girl crossed with One of Us Is Lying (although I haven’t read that one yet), I knew I needed to read this book. Huge thanks to Penguin Australia for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This novel is officially out NOW in Australia. I’m so happy to say that I definitely enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it – especially if you’re looking for a thriller book in this spooky season. Goodreads Blurb: A murder mystery set against the backdrop of an exclusive prep school on Long Island. In Gold Coast, Long…

    The Flower Girls Book Review

The Flower Girls Book Review   I don’t think I’ve felt this strongly or felt as much while reading for a long time as I have with this book. I’ve been a slow and slumping reader and I sped through this book because it was just AMAZING. I’m not usually one to pick up Adult Mystery/Psychological Thrillers, although I love them when done well, and in this case, Alice Clark-Platts smashed it out of the park.   Goodreads Blurb:   YOU’LL NEVER FORGET THE FLOWER GIRLS The Flower Girls. Laurel and Primrose. One convicted of murder, the other given a new identity. Now, nineteen years later, another child has gone…

Thank you so much, Allen & Unwin, as well for letting me have this great opportunity. I absolutely LOVE interviewing authors, and this one was everything I expected and more. Let’s go!   1. Hi Katya, a huge congratulations on the publishing of your debut novel, What the Woods Keep! How would you describe your experience in becoming a…

What the Woods Keep Book Review

While I don’t celebrate Halloween, What The Woods Keep fits the theme perfectly and this novel was delightfully spooky!   Goodreads Blurb:   What the Woods Keep is the stunning debut of Katya de Becerra, who combines mystery, science fiction, and dark fantasy in a twisty story that will keep you mesmerized right up to the final page. On her eighteenth birthday, Hayden inherits her childhood home—on the condition that she uncover its dark secrets. Hayden tried to put the past behind her, and it worked. She’s getting ready for college, living in a Brooklyn apartment, and hanging out with her best friend and roommate Del. But now it’s all…

All of This is True Book Review

Goodreads Blurb:   Miri Tan loved the book Undertow like it was a living being. So when she and her friends went to a book signing to meet the author, Fatima Ro, they concocted a plan to get close to her, even if her friends won’t admit it now. As for Jonah, well—Miri knows none of that was Fatima’s fault. Soleil Johnston wanted to be a writer herself one day. When she and her friends started hanging out with her favorite author, Fatima Ro, she couldn’t believe their luck—especially when Jonah Nicholls started hanging out with them, too. Now, looking back, Soleil can’t believe she let Fatima manipulate her and…
